Dear Brothers in Christ,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to extend my greetings and to share important updates regarding Delmas Church of Christ, particularly in light of the substantial contributions made by the congregation of Britton Road Church of Christ to the advancement of the Gospel in Haiti.
Despite facing numerous challenges, including ongoing political crises, security issues due to gang violence, and a persistent food crisis, our church members remain steadfast in their devotion to serving God with dedication and enthusiasm.
I am pleased to report that we concluded the year 2024 on a positive note. This year, we have made significant strides in strengthening our church’s leadership by appointing responsible individuals tasked with effectively managing our activities.
While we are in the process of selecting Elders to provide spiritual oversight, we have established a team of seven individuals responsible for the management of our church’s affairs. This new leadership structure has facilitated improved coordination and enhanced the efficiency of our initiatives. See in attachment the background of our staff.
Despite the limitations of our current worship facilities, we have successfully organized a range of spiritual activities throughout the year. These initiatives have played a crucial role in fostering spiritual growth among our members. Our programs have included Bible study sessions, prayer groups, and spiritual retreats, all of which have positively impacted our community. Additionally, we have endeavored to provide support to those in need with the limited resources at our disposal, in a continued effort to demonstrate the love of our Lord. Our outreach efforts have included distributing food kits, offering basic medical care, and providing financial assistance to families, thereby enabling their children to pursue their education.
Our commitment to supporting the community remains unwavering.
Looking ahead to 2025, we plan to secure more suitable facilities for worship services and to implement a weekly breakfast program for our members every Sunday morning prior to service.
We kindly request your prayers as we strive to positively influence our community and to further the spread of the Gospel in Haiti. We are profoundly grateful for the invaluable support and prayers of the Britton Road Church of Christ. Your generosity and commitment empower us to continue our mission of service and hope in our community.
With deep appreciation, Yours in Christ,
Romuald MENTOR, CPAH
