King Jehoshaphat faced an invasion by a vast, foreign army. (2 Chron. 20:1-2) He was afraid, so he decided to seek the LORD’s advice. He also fasted and prayed. Although he had over one million skilled warriors in his military (17:12-19), he recognized that his real strength comes from the LORD. He prayed, . . .”we are not strong enough to face this great multitude coming to fight us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” (20:12)
What great wisdom and faith shown by Jehoshaphat! You may face a strong enemy, too. You may have massive or minimal resources. It doesn’t matter. Your real strength comes from the Lord. Are your eyes on Him?
