The word for this week is “Power”
The thought this week is: God is All-Powerful
God’s Power is inherent in His own nature. He does not derive His Power from any other source. God demonstrated His Power when He created our universe by speaking it into existence. (Psalms 33: 6-9.) Scientists estimate there are billions of galaxies like ours. Not only has God the power to create anything from nothing, but He also has the power to sustain all things that he has created. (Heb. 1:3.)
Through God’s mighty power, He has created His Kingdom on this earth. (see Isa. 14:26-27; Daniel 2:44; Mk. 9:1; Acts 1: 8; 2:4, 38-47.) As we subject our will to our Sovereign King, He works His Power through our lives. When we have obedient faith in God’s Son, God unleashes His power through the Holy Spirit which He gives to all those who obey Him. (Acts 2:38; 5:32). As we live a life of love and avail ourselves to God’s power in prayer, God shows us His Mighty Power in marvelous ways. (I John 5:14-15; Ephesians 1:19-23; 3:14-19.)
This week, let us memorize and pray the Apostle Paul’s Word of praise:
“Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” (Eph.3: 20-21.)
